I have a penchant for reading the notes on an album, even if it is a simple list of song titles and names of the players. WIthout the story of where the music originated, the story is lost. Enjoy this CD or give it to someone who will spin it occasionally.

about

Have a seat. It is your life.

A vocalist student of mine takes water when he is on fast, yet he sings for a congregation. He apologizes for it in our lesson. I say God will let him bend the rules in his service to a community.

A life path takes a lot of twists and turns on its journey. Bends, you might call them. If the ruler doesn't break, you haven't gone too far. Although, many humans will measure how you're doing. Worst critic is usually oneself.

lyrics

Bend the Rules

I was sitting here, minding my own business
never expecting, anything like this

if I could I surely would take hold of the opportunity
Why do fools fall in love so easily?

God, let me bend the rules

I was lying there, living my defeat
I never expected to press play, and then play this on repeat (

And if I could I surely would grow wings for arms and fly far away
Why do birds stop their song at night but sing all day?
God, let me bend the rules
Isn’t this why you made them? We abide and then we break them then we stop
God let me bend the rules
